Baltimore Toddler Dies After Brave Cancer Battle

A Maryland toddler who just celebrated a birthday has died after a battling cancer nearly her entire life, officials announce.

Little Amani passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, two months after her 4th birthday, after being diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma at 2 years old, according to a Facebook post made on her behalf.

"We thank everyone for all of your prayers, well wishes, visits and overall support during this time", states her parents. "While she may not have won the fight, her bravery will help the next person to hopefully kick Kidney Cancer Azz a little bit further. We pray for the future of kids and people who are suffering from Cancer".

Amani suffered from a clear cell carcinoma of the kidney that she was diagnosed with shortly before the holidays in late 2020, according to her GoFundMe.

A funeral service is scheduled for Amani at the Wylie Funeral Home of Baltimore County at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12.
